| THE INSTITUTE FOR
ADVANCED STUDIES IN THE JEWISH ROOTS OF THE CHRISTIAN
FAITH
It appears that the Lord is turning the hearts of the believers back to the love of His people and to the truth of the first century Church We at the Institute feel it is our call to keep the Jewish roots" movement" on track with the most up-to-date and accurate information in this area. And we can do it through you As the hearts of pastors and laypeople around the world desire to know the truth, you and the Arkansas Institute will be there as a source for that information. Arkansas Institute was founded in 1991 as a specialty college in the field of Middle Eastern History. Originally, a consortium of ten scholars, six of which have Ph. D. degrees from major universities, worked together to provide a unique four year curriculum for a limited body of students. Because The Institute is a training center for teachers relating to Middle Eastern history, it prepares the participants with the most detailed information on the land of Isarel, both modern and biblical. This project was conceived in 1986 when Ron Moseley, now the President of Arkansas Institute, began to travel and discover the best specialists in the five major fields relating to Middle Eastern history. These fields of study include linguistics (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek), Jewish culture geography, archaeology, and history of the Middle East. After finding the scholars, Dr. Moseley then traveled to their universities and enrolled and studied under these mentors personally. These institutions included the Hebrew University (Jerusalem), the American Institute (Jerusalem), Princeton, the University of Texas, and several others. The policy of quality education at the Arkansas Institute is achieved by several unusual, but highly effective, methods of study. Basically, these scholars provide enough hours through lectures, videos, and personal time, in their specialized fields, during a period of four years (eight semesters) to guarantee a limited group of students a distinguished degree from some of the top scholars in the world. Arkansas Institute is incorporated in the State of Arkansas (under Sherwood Bible Ministries, Inc.) as an independent, non-profit institution of higher eduation. Arkansas Institute is a specialty school that offers a variety of diplomas and degrees. There are several two year diplomas for deacons, teachers, and/or laypeople. There is a four year, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Middle Eastern History for those interested in information or church ministry. Also, AIHS's newest program, the Master of Arts in Middle Eastern History, is for those interested in teaching Jewish studies. Classes may be taken in residency or by correspondence, or through a satellite school. Satellite schools will offer the curriculum on a four year rotational basis. A student that registers in the second through eight semesters will be required to take the additional "Introduction to Jewish Roots"courses as part of their first semester.
