Letters from Jerusalem: The Hand of God
Shalom from Jerusalem, Israel!
Some of you, which receive this, may wonder how I came across your address! And what is this all about? So some explanations first.
I have made up a list of about two hundred E-mail addresses, which most I collected off of e-mails received over the last year or so. You may be "friend's of friends". I will be adding to this list. In this list are also many addresses of friends who have received our letters in the past. I have felt that it was time to share information based on experiences and research, which I have seen as unique and relatively untaught. I would solicit your responses. If at any time you do not wish to receive any
further communications on Jerusalem and related information, please let me know and I will remove your address from the list. Most of you I do not know anything about, your background, beliefs or
convictions. In reaching out to a wide spread audience I am sure there will be a few toes, which will be stepped on. Please realize that I am not "attacking" nor wanting to be critical towards anyone. Rather, there are interesting facets about the city of Jerusalem, which I am convinced ought to be more understood in general by all.
So you understand a little more about me...I have a Doctorate in Divinity. My dissertation was on "Biblical Eschatology" and my thesis was on "Spiritual Warfare". I am greatly concerned about the things related to these two subjects and what we observe is happening in the world.
I first began to live in Jerusalem in the early 1980"s. I was invited to be a part of a geological survey of the "Old City of Jerusalem", which occurred in 1985 in conjunction with the Hebrew University and private business enterprises. Andrew and Jeff, our two oldest sons, were involved in the survey. The results have never been made available to the widespread public because of disputes which arose over who was in control of the manufacturing of the results. I say "manufacturing" because from the information, the result of the survey, a 3-D plastic map was made of the Geology of Jerusalem. This "map" is astounding! I was blessed to have received one of the very few, which were made. I have used this plastic, to scale, map through the years in teaching or sharing Biblical truths. What is totally awesome with this map is the left hand fits into the geology of Jerusalem! This is unique but it is more than that. It gives new meaning to two verses in the Bible. Isaiah 49:16 states: ..."I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands, thy walls are continually before me". And Isaiah 51:16 states: ..."and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand...." Now, before I am accused of taking these verses out of context it should be realized that Tsion (Zion) in the context of the Bible is often relating to Jerusalem. Also the context of these chapters, I believe will bear this out. Related to these verses are the cultures of desert peoples still in practice today and the culture at the time of the writing of the Bible. Because of the lack of water, and modern conveniences the left hand was considered the hand of the earth, or the unclean hand. Why? Because they did not have an abundance of water to wash with, they only washed the "Right Hand"! The "Left Hand" was used for all unclean needs. The "Right Hand" then signified the hand of strength, might, friendship and protection. What then an amazing revelation to find that Jerusalem is geologically shaped in the form of a "Left Hand"! This can be seen in a mitten like appearance in many maps of Jerusalem, which are using a geological basis on which to draw or put the city. The "Old City of David' is then the end of the thumb. The "Temple Mount" is the large muscle area of the thumb. The area alongside, on the outside of the thumb, would be the Kidron Valley. The line below the fingers would be the Hinnom Valley and the side of the thumb towards the fingers would be the Tyropoeon Valley. It is also interesting that these three valleys then also form the Hebrew letter, which looks like a "W", the "Shin", which is an abbreviation of the name of God, El Shaddi. Jerusalem is symbolically formed on a hand (God's) and represents a name of God! What does this then state about the city spiritually? No wonder there is a battle over the city as a capital for two rivaling peoples!
Sincerely,
GR Collett
(Letter: The City)
Greetings from Jerusalem!
Thank you for the responses, interest, comments, inquiries, and requests concerning the "Hand of God, Jerusalem".
Have you ever considered that the left hand is the mirror of the right and the right the mirror of the left? This seems like a child's statement. But is it not true that many times Children pick up on the
obvious? I have found that it is often what is right in front of me that I miss the quickest! I have often failed to take scriptures in the simplest of meanings. Of course, it is dangerous to take one or two scriptures and build a whole theology or doctrine upon them. That is how individuals or groups go off into tangents, which turn out to not be truth! So how do we establish "truth"? Before I continue talking about the left hand and the right hand let me dialog about truth for a moment, as discerning truth is true Spiritual Warfare!
There is not room, nor time to establish all of the evidences of both scientific, legal and personal experiences that the Bible is exactly what it claims to be, namely the Word of God (inspite of translation differences or denominational understandings, which also differ). (Please do not take me wrong, I am not against differing translations nor denominations as they all have their strong points).
I was once told by a young woman, who wanted to discredit the Bible, that there were no absolutes. The response to her statement..."is that an absolute"? There are absolutes! How do we establish a truth or absolute from the scriptures? First, if there are multiple statements about or related to the same issue. Second, if something is said only once and our understanding of it does not conflict with any other scripture. And lastly, if scripture implies but does not outright say. Obviously the last method of establishing truth is the most dangerous because of interpretation. The last method has to be more in line and in agreement with all other scriptures than any other method.
For our investigation of the right hand/left hand imagery we have a multitude of scriptures to look at. In the Tanack (Old Testament) there are 119 verses (if I counted right) dealing with the right hand. In what is called the New Covenant or New Testament there are forty-five verses. All of these verses are also complimented with other references to the "right" toe, shoulder, arm, ear, etc, etc. If all these verses are compared against each other and those speaking of the "left", then I think there is a clear picture, which shows truth concerning the r/l imagery. The right hand is a depiction of God's spiritual realities and is then reflected back to the left hand. Without the right hand there is no left hand. What does this mean concerning Jerusalem as it is geographically a left hand?
In the desert economy, which Israel took on in the forty years of walk-about with Moses, water was a very limited, precious commodity, as also in Egypt. I know people argue over just how many were partakers in that forty years and just how many came into the promised land. How many people is not the issue here, but their need and use of water is an immense issue. Whether one person or several million, water is of prime concern. Water would be the first item scouted out in any area for the flocks, drinking, washing and all other needs. Without water there was/is death. The desert helped promote the habit of only washing the right hand, to conserve water, used for eating, shaking hands, for social contact. If a person was caught in a serious crime, such as stealing, then such a person was marked by the index finger of the right hand being cut off. A harsh but effective punishment, but also a great deterrent! Who wants to lose a finger and become permanently, socially marked? But if a person was caught a second time in a serious crime the hand, the right hand was cut off at the wrist. An even harder and harsher punishment. It is called "the right hand losing its cunning"! The effects are more than just losing a hand, which is personally devastating enough. The person could no longer eat with the right hand or shake hands, literally the person became a social outcast, rejected, unaccepted in any form or way, in society, with others. This is devastating, literally at times leading to death!
I know that in the Psalms the writer is reflecting his own feelings in Psalms 137:5. But I have more than just a suspicion that the writer is also reflecting the heart of God. Why would God allow such a statement to be said about His own right hand? Remember Isaiah 51:16 reflects that God covers the city with his "right" hand. If Jerusalem is destroyed or un-retrievable then there is no city to which Christ can return. Simply put...the left hand of the Earth becomes a signature of God's promises because of the "right hand". Jerusalem is a modern day signature to the truth of the Bible! It is the city to which Christ shall return. God has an invested interest in the earthly Jerusalem as He has His name placed there! Remember the Hebrew letter formed by the three valleys?
The newly started resolves to expand the boundaries of Jerusalem, by the Municipality of Jerusalem, is going to have repercussions world wide. Could this be a beginning of the reflection of God's Right Hand and what He intends for the future? On whose side will we stand?
In his Love,
G.R. Collett, DD
(Letter 4)
Shalom from Jerusalem!
Jerusalem in the shape of a hand geologically! This still amazes me, even after thirteen years from first learning it. I hope each of you have gone to a good map (in many Bibles) and looked for a geological representing map.
The East,West, North, South orientation of Jerusalem is important. Is this why ancient maps of Jerusalem are orientated East/West but modern maps changed to North/South? Why the change, or why were the old maps East/West? We will answer that later.
Last time we were looking at the "Shin" or "Sheen" as seen from the south looking north. (As one reader responded..."like Mr. Spock on Star Trek holding up his hand with the last two fingers together, then the first two fingers together and the thumb by itself. This is usually done with the right hand, but when the left hand is added with the right in the same form, then it completes the Jewish priestly blessing. Interesting note, it takes both hands, "left" and "right", to have the completed blessing!)
When looking at the "sheen" (I'll use this form of "shin" as it is more phonetic) the "dump" area, representation of Hell, of the city would be on the curve of the Hinnom valley (almost on the "West" side) as it heads back up towards what is called "Sultans's Pools" by the Jaffa Gate area. This will be an interesting facet when we look closer at the "hand" from the North.
I made the statement that I believed there was/is a more important site on the right hand side, of the Temple Mount, on the Mt. of Olives, as we look at the Sheen. One thing to remember is the "Law and all its ordinances" were given to the Jewish people for revelation or teaching about God. The "Law" does not give us salvation, nor does the keeping of it. But the principal of its revealing God has not changed, Ezekiel 43:10. From the Resurrection of Christ we have had a great opportunity to accept Grace, but unfortunately that has equated, to many through the centuries, that we are to avoid understanding the Law. The principals given in the Law give important revelations of Grace, such as the most important site of the Temple, on Mt. Moriah, is on the Mt. of Olives. (This has always been true, but will not always be true!) Please keep in mind that the working functions of the Tabernacle in the wilderness, the First Temple and the Second Temple in Jerusalem are all the same. Of course there are changes in materials, or from the wilderness to Jerusalem, but they were all orientated East /West with the same working functions! Even coming restorations will be with the same functions and orientations! Ezekiel 43:21 states this place, "the appointed place", on the Mt. of Olives, is a part of the Temple (and it always has been)! An altar, of the Temple, on the top of the Mt. of Olives! This is the site where the bullocks were cremated whose blood were used in the Temple, Leviticus 4:11 and 12.
Years ago when finding this (I was searching to find where were the "ashes", from all of the daily cremations on Mt. Moriah were taken ) I was amazed as I began to see how this relates to the first miracle in Canna, the Crucifixion and more! I found in going through Leviticus, Number, etc, and related Bible books, that the site on the top of the Mt. of Olives was the site where all ashes were taken from Mt. Moriah. It is the site where the bodies of the Bullocks were cremated (whose blood was used in the Temple). And it is the required site where the Red Heifer was sacrificed, Numbers 19, as the "clean place, outside the camp". When the ashes of the Red Heifer were collected they were used as the purification, mixed with water, on a daily basis in order to enter the Tabernacle or Temple. Also on the most holy day of the year, Yom Kippur, Leviticus 16, the Red Heifers Ash was used in the Purification of the High Priest in order to enter the Holy of Holies. The Red Heifers ash, when collected, had the remains from ashes from ALL sin sacrifices from the Temple site, which means the Red Heifers ash was the sum total representation of sin for the Tabernacle/Temple. We found in the writings of Jewish History that the Ashes of the Red Heifer were divided into five portions. First of all, realize that from the Jewish Midrash the "Altar" used was a "pit" in the ground approximately twelve feet across and nine feet deep. The ash from this "cremation pit" was divided into five portions. One was a portion of the heifer's ash (before the mixing of wood ash), another portion was for the Mt. Moriah site use, one portion was for the Priests privately, and a fourth portion was to be hidden outside the camp in case something happened to the others. That is four portions, which was nine gallons and a cup full. The rest of the pile of ash, approximately twelve feet across and nine feet deep, was divided up and sent out to 26 major synagogues throughout Israel (this we found in writings related to scripture from Damascus). The scriptures state that the water, which was turned into wine at Canna of Galilee was the "water of purification, which was after the manor of the Jews". Cleansing water is never called "water of purification" in Judaism! Mikvah water is obsoleted if put into vessels! The "water of Purification" is a direct reference back to Numbers 19. Christ turned the "Water of Purification" into wine, which showed He had a higher authority than the Laws of Moses or the Temple! The turning of the water into wine was actually the second miracle. The first was the filling of the pots to the brim upon His command. In Judaism, once ashes of the Heifer were mixed with water, more water was not allowed to be added. A new batch of "water of Purification" would be made each time there was a need, not more warter added. When Christ added "His" water to the pots He was stating that His water had a higher authority. No wonder His disciples "believed on Him for this beginning of miracles"
(plural, past tense!).
Next time let's look at the hand from the North looking South and for Ed how that left hand, the unclean hand was cleansed!
In Him,

(Letter 5)
Greetings from Jerusalem!
Recently the United Nations passed a resolution, which makes it possible to convict residents of Jewish settlements (in pre-1967 areas of what is now called "West Bank") as "war criminals". The resolution wording is to the effect that if the residents of the settlements "profit" the mother country then as "occupiers" they are war criminals. I have related this resolution as simply as possible but the ramifications are tremendous when coupled with the expansion of Jerusalem and the meaning of the "Hands". Let me explain...recently the Municipality of Jerusalem declared the intention to expand the city limits to include many "settlements", which are in the "West Bank" in order for them to receive better coverage for water, electricity, sewer disposal, roads and security. All of these amenities would then receive easier financing and accomplishment if they came under the Municipality of Jerusalem. ***This means any citizen of Israel and any citizen who resides anywhere in Jerusalem could be detained in any airport, by any police, anywhere in the world, outside of Israel until it is determined if they live in Jerusalem and then to determine if their Jerusalem address is in a "settlement" or not. They would not have to be arrested, only detained for a undetermined length of time, missing air flights, etc. When "authorities" determined the "detainee" is not a resident of a "settlement" they would be released after the unspecified length of time to be possibly then "detained" again at whatever place next, and next, and so on.... But if it is determined that the individual(s)are residents of a settlement then they can be arrested as a "war criminal"! Harassment against Jerusalem! Subtlety... a harassment against the "hand" of God!? Quite an interesting scenario, which of course would not be made world news but would be a new twist in anti-semitism!
This leads to issues of "why" the "hand of Jerusalem" symbolism can be important to each of us as individuals. As prophetic "last days" approach the Bible states that Jerusalem will become a burden to the world! Have you wondered just "how?" that would come to pass? The arguments over "expanded Jerusalem" compound the arguments over the city claimed by two peoples to be their national capital. The issue should be, to see the reality, that the city belongs to God and depicts His
choices, represents His plan. But if we do not understand that the city is such a revelation then we are caught up into humanitarian arguments rather than spiritual realities! If we do not understand, then we could be caught up into choices against God. The scripture states that God's people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge, Hosea 4:6a. I do not think this principal has changed, whether we talk about finances, weather, marriage, Israel or Jerusalem! We need to be careful to not
"worship" knowledge as it does not give us salvation but "understanding"can increase our worship to God, sense of God, how big He really is and understanding may even bring others to Him!. Therefore, the issues are extremely important as Jerusalem becomes the major argument of the Nations of the World. Nations will fight and families will split over this issue! Again, the real issues over Jerusalem are choices for or against God's plan! We need to be careful to not "dig our heads into the sand" because of coming events NOR get so "event" oriented that we
lose sight of learning to "know Him", "praise Him", "walk with Him" on a daily moment by moment basis. In other words it is not "religion" but it is "relationship"!
Hands form a great part of personal relationships as they are a major avenue for touching. Is this a reason why God uses such"body" terminology in the Bible quite frequently as He wants to relate, "touch" in understandable terminology to us?
Jerusalem in the form of a "Left Hand"! How is it cleansed? Have you ever been camping and had a dirty hand but there was no water to wash with? How did you "clean" the hand? I have had the experience, so I know the reality of the answer. A person in such a situation reaches down and takes some dirt, soil, sand, etc. and uses it (maybe several times) to rub on and off the hand (just as the sons and daughters of the desert do) until satisfaction comes that the hand is as clean as possible! The things of earth are used to clean the hand! The things of heaven had to come to earth or be depicted on earth in order for the "earth" to be "cleansed". The "things " of earth had to be used as the examples to relate to that which is higher!? Is this why the author of the book of Hebrews depicts in chapter nine, that there is something much better than "just bulls, goats and the ashes"? Is this part of what the author of the book of Hebrews is depicting by relating all of the "Temple" forms as the shadows, things of earth, when the full reality are the things of Heaven? By understanding the "codes", "terminologies" of earth can we then understand the details of Heavens message better? Can understanding God's messages of grace better, grow our commitment, love, etc?
When we looked at the Sheen, the more important part of the Temple is on the right, on the top of the Mt. of Olives and the left corner of the Hinnom Valley depicted hell. But when we look at the "hand" from the north to south, the sites are then reversed as right and left! How does the depiction of "hell" now fit with its location on the far right? Could it be that if we "pass by" God then that is the result as depicted in Hebrews chapter 6:1-6? What do I mean "pass by God"?
Years ago I came to a realization that the East/West orientation, of the Tabernacle in the Wilderness and the Temple in Jerusalem, was saying something! I went through the scriptures and found that to go "East" was always a depiction of leaving God, such as Adam was expelled out of the Garden, ---Eastward! Conversely, The "Wise Men" came from the East going West. Going West depicts "coming to God". There are enough scriptures to show this principal as a truth. Even Psalms 48:2 states "beautiful for situation on the sides of the North"! The sides of North are East and West! So if we come to relationship with God but become bitter, or for other various reasons, we may go right on, past God, choosing to not continue with Him! Again, Hebrews 6:1-6.
How this East/West relationship is related to the crucifixion we will begin to look at in the next letter.
In His Love,
Gary and Debra Collett
(Letter 6)
"Jerusalem, the hand of God"....from the previous letters and statements I have made, I will now elaborate in order to show that the crucifixion of Christ is stated in the New Testament to have occurred on the Mt. of Olives and "why" this is important. You say "where"? Please be patient as the terminology is in Jewish terms, even in Translation. I begin to set the scene.....
As we have shared, the orientation of the Tabernacle in the wilderness or the Temple in Jerusalem were both orientated facing East. The approach for both were then from the East going West. The Bible has many references of the East-West orientation but usually in a form which causes the western mind to miss the implications. An example I have already mentioned is Psalms 48:2 , which states "beautiful for situation, on the sides of the north". The "sides" of north are East and West!
This is revealing a Biblical principal, which has not changed!
Many years ago, in relationship to the city of Jerusalem forming a hand geologically, I had an astounding thought hit while in private contemplation. The thought, "what happened to the ashes from all of the sin cremations on Mt. Moriah?" It occurred to me that something had to happen to the ash. It could not just remain laying around somewhere on Mt. Moriah! If the ashes from all of the daily cremations were not "put" somewhere or something "done" with them, then they would get so deep on the site of the Temple, on Mt. Moriah, that no one would be able to walk through it, people would have to be trying to "swim" through the ash. This is not practical, nothing could function properly under such conditions! I am a firm believer that all "truth" has to be found in the
Bible first, and then historical sources. I went to the Tanack (Old Testament) and began to re-read, again. I found to my amazement that Leviticus 4:12 talks about a place where "the ashes are poured out"! Twice in one verse the place where the ashes are poured out are mentioned! Where else could I find explanation? The search...To my utter consternation I began to find a whole set of scriptures, which turned around many of my conceptions of Jerusalem and events occurring there! I am sharing with you a skimming of the cream of that adventure in the scriptures....
In Leviticus 4:12 it links the site of where the ashes are poured out as the same site where the "bullocks , whose blood is used in the Temple, are cremated"! This to me is such an interesting facet. Does it sound familiar? A physical sacrifice "outside" the camp but the blood to be presented "in" the "Temple"? Chew on that for awhile! Anyway, the next verse to consider is Leviticus 4:21..."a sin offering outside the camp"! Jumping to the book of Ezekiel we find a rendition of the Temple functions, in chapters 40 through 43. People argue over just "when" this representation of the "Temple" is or was to occur but I would point out that the functions are the same! The building materials or dimensions may change but the functions stay the same!
The "same functions" is important in showing that the site of "bullock" cremations is an extremely important site. In fact, I came to the conclusion that the site was the most important site of the Temple functions. Ezekiel 43:21 states that the site is a part "of the Temple"! I had never heard of the such! Part of the Temple, to the East of Mt. Moriah, which is part of the Temple compound? A second verse confirming this is Ezekiel 44:1, which states there is a gate of the outward sanctuary.... the gate looks East towards the "outward sanctuary"! Related to this was then the issue of King David buying a threshing floor, or was it two that he bought? In I Chron. 21:18-26 and II Chron. 3:1 it is definitely a threshing floor on Mt. Moriah ,which was bought from Ornan for 600 shekels of GOLD. But in II Samuel 24:18-25 it is a different person, Araunah, and a different
price, 50 shekels of silver! Two sites during the same plague? From what I have learned about Judaism a scribe would not be allowed to make a mistake such as this if they were both talking about
the "same" site! I became convinced that there were two altars involved in the transactions David made! One for a sum representing a site where the blood sacrifice was for all time and the other for a sum representing the complete, perfect, total access to that! Think about it! I can't give all of the ramifications here!
My next thought was "now why would there be a part of the Temple outside of Mt. Moriah"? Ok! The bullocks are cremated there. The ashes from the Temple are taken there. And, ...The Red Heifer is cremated there! Three important parts of the functioning of the Temple! We will continue
with this next time....
Until then, In His service,
G. R. Collett, DD
(Letter 7)
We are continuing the thought that: The crucifixion of Christ is stated in the New Testament to have occurred on the Mt. of Olives, how this is part of the "left hand" "right hand" imagery, how this relates to the Ashes of the Red Heifer (Numbers 19) and Yom Kippur (Leviticus 16).
A question asked is why is so much of our material "new", why has it not been taught before? We have had many pastors comment that they were not taught any of this material in Seminary, Why? There are two parts to the answer. 1) History has separated the Western World from the understandings of Jewish terminology as used in the Bible and 2) this was a part of God's plan that things "sealed until the time of the end" would not be understood until then. In other words, there are many issues that are very Biblical but were not to be understood until God's time. We believe that now is the time to understand many Biblical truths that have been hidden!
Concepts from previous letters...
1) The ash from all cremated sin offerings from the Temple on Mt. Moriah are taken to the top of the Mt. of Olives to the place called the "Miphkad Altar", "Without the Camp", the "Appointed Place", the "Place of Accounting", a "Clean Place" and other references. (See the books of Leviticus, Numbers, the Midrash section on the Red Heifer and Talmud.)
2) The Bullocks or Beasts, whose blood is used in the Temple on Mt. Moriah, are cremated at the same site where the Ashes are taken from all cremated sin offerings on Mt. Moriah, (see the Book of Leviticus).
3) The Red Heifer was always cremated, at the same site in orientation to the Tabernacle or Temple, throughout history as started with Moses and Aaron and given to Eleazar the priest, before "His Face" i e God, Numbers 19:3. The Red Heifer was always to face through the open gates and doors of the Tabernacle or Mt. Moriah Temple directly to the "Face of God" and always DID!
I pray each of you have visualized the "Hand Imagery" as found in the "Left and Right Hand" or "East and West" of Jerusalem to "catch" important facets of the following statements.
All sin representation in the form of cremations ended up at the Altar on the top of the Mt. of Olives--this represented total separation from God. The altar has no physical description given in the Bible but the Midrash states it was an "Altar (hole) in the ground". This means that when the Ashes of the Red Heifer were collected, ash from all of the other offerings would have been represented in the Red Heifer's Ash! The Red Heifer's Ash became the representation of ALL sin offerings! Looking at the Left Hand (see drawing) we would then see all sin represented to the left, of the left hand, but it then gave the access to go back to the right and the presence of God! How? The Red Heifer was cremated looking into the "Face of God" i e the area of the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy of Holies. The Ashes of the Red Heifer were used on a daily basis in the Temple system in order to allow daily access to the outer Holies where the Menorah, the Table of Shew Bread and the Altar of Incense stood. To enter this area the Priest, such as Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist (Luke 1:5-11), would have to first pass the Blood Sacrifice and then the Water Purification, ("Cleansing" is not a proper translation as there is a major difference between Jewish "Cleansing", "Mikvah" or "Purification"). The Ashes of the Red Heifer were used in the Tabernacle or Temple on a DAILY basis! But the higher form of use was then on the most Holy Day, Yom Kippur, when the Priest was to enter the Most Holy Place where the Ark of the Covenant was placed. Without the Ashes of the Red Heifer there was NO access to the Temple, there was NO access to the presence of God! The part of the Temple to the LEFT (in looking from the North towards the south-- seeing the left hand) on the Top of the Mt. of Olives, Ezekiel 43:21, became the most important part of the Temple in order to approach God on the RIGHT because of the Ashes of the Red Heifer!
How does this then relate to the crucifixion of Christ who fulfilled the Law giving us total access back to the presence of God?
We can start with the typology of the heifer. Biblically and historically the Heifer was always provided by God..so was Christ. Man never genetically breed for a heifer..neither was Christ. God always provided the sacrifice.. (sounds like the offering of Isaac..could this be a Biblical principal?) and the heifer sacrifice had to be pure having no blemishes, approximately 3 and 1/2 years of age, blood red (no more than three black or white hairs), virgin (pure without sin) and never having had a yoke (the result of the curse of sin). Can we relate these to Christ?
Relating the typology of the Temple:
Hebrews 13:10 states "we have an altar where no man may eat", (Leviticus chapter six verse thirty), "where the bodies of the beasts or bullocks are cremated, whose blood is used in the sanctuary by the high priest for sin". The next statement is "Wherefore Jesus also"....
****The author of the book of Hebrews just told the site of the crucifixion, "without the camp"..."a clean place", i e the Miphkad Altar (Hebrews 13:12-13) on the top of the Mt. of Olives, to the East of Moriah, but looking directly back to God as represented in the Temple! Does this then mean that Christ became THE Red Heifer fulfillment? And as Judaism calls the ashes of the Red Heifer mixed with water "Living Water" does this then mean that Christ became THE Living Water?
In his Love,

(Letter 8)
The Right Hand and Left Hand Imagery and the God of the Harvest!
A very good friend (Stan Larsen) has responded from our last E-letter with an amazing insight as to the importance of THE ASHES of the RED HEIFER. Stan has been provoked to research and study, which I greatly appreciate. Stan's question was related to the children of Israel when they FIRST came into the "promised land". Stan's question was, "Were the Children of Israel purified first with the Ashes of the Heifer when they entered the Land?" Joshua 3:5 states Joshua said to the people, "Sanctify (consecrate) yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you". Stan found a reference in Flavius Joesephus "Antiquities of the Jews", volume four, chapter four, number six which talks about the use of the Red Heifer for purification. Josephus states, "Thus he enjoined them to do also when the tribes should come into their own land". THIS SETS A PRECEDENCE! They used the Ashes of the Red Heifer when going into the Land! We can find the same sequence, and a prophetic conformation, found in Ezekiel 36:23-25, which states God shall "sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean...", after He has brought them into their own land AGAIN! The importance of the Ashes of the Red Heifer cannot be over emphasized! Maybe there are many who would say that this is rather a radicle statement, but let me relate the issues in sequence and I think the importance will be realized in relationship to the God of the Harvest!
****Without the Ashes of the Red Heifer there was no access to the outer Holy Place or the Holy of Holies, of the Tabernacle or Temple!*****All of this then applies to Christ as the fulfillment,
(reread letter #7).
1) All ash from the Temple Courtyard on Mt. Moriah representing sin are taken to the Depressed (hole in the ground) Altar (Midrash section on the Red Heifer), on the top of the Mt. of Olives, called "Miphkad".
2) At the same Altar on the Mt. of Olives the bodies are cremated (the bullocks) whose blood is used in the Temple, (book of Leviticus). (The blood--spiritual authority in the Temple; the bodies --flesh dealt with outside the camp, ...sound familiar?)
3) The Red Heifer was offered at the same Altar on the top of the Mt. of Olives, whose location was established by Moses in the wilderness, i e always to the East, in front of the "Face of God", called "a clean place" "outside the camp", (book of Leviticus, Numbers and the Midrash). The same terminologies and locations were true in Jerusalem with the "Temple" vs. the "Tabernacle" of the Wilderness. Therefore the Ashes of the Red Heifer had the ashes mixed in of the Bullocks and ALL other sin offerings by cremation from the Temple site! The Red Heifer's Ash was then the sum TOTAL of all sin offerings by cremation!
4) The Ashes of the Red Heifer were used on a daily basis (book of Leviticus and Numbers) for access to the outer Holy Place of either the Tabernacle or Temple!
5) On the most Holy Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur (book of Leviticus), the Ashes of the Red Heifer were used to enter the area of the Ark of the Covenant, whether the Ark was there or not. No Ashes.....no access to God.
The Ashes spoke of total sin but total Redemption, of Reconciliation, of Relationship to God and His presence (which Christ became!).
Let's relate all of this to King David so we can understand the God of the Harvest! David did not by force, war or fighting conquer the threshing floors which subsequently became the sites for the Temple or the Miphkad Altar. David BOUGHT or "redeemed" the sites from those who were in possession. In the cultures of the land at the time of David the pagan gods were honored in the walls around a threshing floor. Why? Because it was believed that the pagan gods controlled the weather of sun, rain and wind which then gave the bountiful or poor harvests. David bought the threshing floors as an act showing that the true God redeems us into His presence vs.. "forcing" us through "war or conquering". The idealogy of the time was "God is what God does". (And in all realism that has not changed to most of the people in the Mid-East today!) David having "bought" then set the scene for the functioning of the Holy of Holies, where God would appear in His Shekinah Glory. To come into His presence took an act of Redemption, from King David through to the Red Heifer and then fulfilling in Christ! But the message of His being the God of the harvest was not lost!
After going through the outer court, first being cleansed by the Blood, therefore given Spiritual Redemption and second being washed by the Water of Purification (Ashes of the Red Heifer water), which gave an acceptance of the human "flesh" before God, the participant then went into the outer Holy Place, such as Zachariah the father of John the Baptist. At this point, according to the book of Numbers, on the Right Hand Side the Table of Shew Bread was to be found. The bread represented that God was our "Bread of Life"! Was this not a claim that Christ made, that He was THE Bread of Life? Standing then again in the center we would then find that the Menorah, the candle lamps were on the Left Side! The oil for the lamps spoke of abundant life as it then gave light and did not Christ claim to be THE light of the World? Interesting, we just formed a cross by going through the Blood, Water, then the left and right to the Bread and the Lamps!
As important was the statement of nature by the placing of the items to the left and right! The Bread was on the Right Side which is North. It is the North winds, etc, needed for the harvests of the Barley and then Wheat! On the Right Hand Side or the South it was the South winds, etc, needed for the good crops and Harvest of the Olive Oil for the Lamps! God was still "The God of the Harvest" but with a new message in contrast to the pagans...He was that God, by Redemption..for mankind! No wonder David was a man after the Heart of God! The Temple system was/is to reveal the redemption of the Lord! Ezekiel 43:10 and 11a.
Next time...implications of this....

(Letter 9)
"Jerusalem the Hand of God" is a provocative subject as we have suggested that all of God's plans, history and future goals revolve around this city. The very placing of the Temple on Mt. Moriah reflects the historical glory of the Tabernacle in the Wilderness with Moses. We have related that while there are at times a change in the type of materials used for the construction of the Tent in the Wilderness to the stone of the Temple in Jerusalem the functions are always the same.
This is an important facet in realization that there was a sin offering "outside the camp" namely the offering of the Bullocks or Beasts whose blood was used in the Temple. This is a shadow of another offering, which was outside the camp? We shall see...
An interesting conflict throughout the centuries is the realization that God cannot accept "the Flesh" as it represents sin. How is this dealt with? An application would then be found in the Bullocks or Beasts. Their "flesh" was dealt with outside the Temple, outside the camp at the same site where the Red Heifer was offered. The blood of the Bullocks used in the Temple, but the flesh in the form of ashes -- it was a gathered part with the Red Heifer's ash, and mixed with water it became the very means of access into the Temple! The water was called "Living Water" as a "purification for Sin", Numbers 19:9, the Water of Purification! (.....Six waterpots of stone, after the manor of the purifying of ther Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece...", John 2:6, ..."this beginning of miracles", ...plural, past tense! What a connection.) The sin offerings on the Mt. of Olives became the access into the Temple of Mt. Moriah where the presence of the Father, God, was manifested. Is this why the LAW required ALL sin offerings to be "before the face of God"? How do we get or understand it is "before his Face"?
Going through the book of Leviticus carefully we found that ALL sin offerings were to be done "Before The Lord". The Hebrew words used are explicit that this means "in front of the face of God" as related to the Temple. So if we were to draw lines from the Ark of the Covenant area, i e the Holy of Holies, to the corners of the God given courtyard dimensions, we then would have the largest angle possible for the accepted area for sin offerings, to the East. But some would say there were offerings northward at the Brazen Altar, Lev. 1:11, but the qualifier in this verse is "before the Lord", which means in front of His face! God only faced to the East out of the Tabernacle or Temple! God would have been facing the Mt. of Olives!
The narrowest of views for the area of "before the Lord" would have been from the Holy of Holies straight through the gates and doors of the Temple towards the Mt. of Olives. Either of these two ways would then require the "Altar on the East Part", Lev. 1:16, which was beside the "place of the Ashes", to be in a direct line of sight from the Holy of Holies to the top of the Mt. of Olives and its Altar! (We know that the "place of the ashes" was outside the camp from Lev. 4:12).
Could the Centurion, who was assigned the guarding of the Crucifixion events, starting with the trial to the foot of the cross of Christ, be an evidence? Could the witness of the Centurion be an evidence the site of the cross was in direct line of sight to the Holy of Holies from the Mt. of Olives? In Matthew 27 it is related that the Centurion "saw" all those things which were done, verse 54. The list of things which he "saw" starts in verse 27 as the "whole band" was gathered. This would then include the tearing of the veil, which is also related in Luke 23:45-47. The veil was torn... the Centurion saw what was done.., not what he heard but what he saw caused him to exclaim, .."surely..."!
All of these issues then relate in direct line of site between the Temple Altar of Mt. Moriah and the Mt. of Olives Altar as a Left Hand-Right Hand evidence that not only was Christ the fulfillment of the LAW but any further future displays of this system, to continue the revelations, would require the Mt. of Olives be used for fulfilling of "Third Temple" functioning. The Mt. of Olives would be the required site for any further uses of the Temple as related to the offering of Red Heifers, Bullocks or the depository of Ashes from Mt. Moriah. This would mean that in the prophetic calendar of events the Mt. of Olives has to become a part of Jewish controlled land. This will not happen without a considerable event which changes the boundaries of what is currently considered the State of Israel. An event which will be traumatic to many peoples, to say the least. We will suggest it will have major effects world wide. Next time let's consider such an event and what it will be, related to the left hand as looking from the north towards the south.

(Letter 10)
Greetings from Jerusalem,
I cannot help but take a few moments and comment on current local news..... There have been those who were deported from Israel back to the USA because of their reported intent to "hasten" the coming of Christ by the sacrifice of their lives (and others) in Jerusalem. This event is a part
of what is called the "Jerusalem Syndrome", which has occurred in many forms over the years. We often see individuals standing on the street with a sign claiming to be King David, Christ, one of the prophets, one of the two witnesses, or some other Biblical character. All of this is considered a part of the "Syndrome". Tourists are at times reported to be overcome with the "awe" of the "Holy Land" and begin to succumb to the symptoms by wandering off from the main group, losing awareness to surroundings. This is all a part of what is considered the "spiritual warfare" over the State of Israel.
As we are going to begin sharing about "prophetical events" as related to the Mt. of Olives and Jerusalem, this is a good time to share a few "considerations". The following is a part of what we hand out when teaching Biblical Prophecy:
Why is Biblical Prophecy important?
Because prophecy proves God, Isaiah 42: 8-9.
Because there is a blessing involved in studying it, Rev. 1: 3.
Because prophecy is a part of the "whole" for growth in maturity, John 16: 8-15.
Because prophecy is a part of the working of the Spirit of God, John 16: 13.
It is not "events" that should be the emphasized importance, but rather their revelation of God!
Events lead to the coming of Messiah, and are therefore a part of His coming.
If we do not understand the relationship of the events to His coming, we do not fully understand His coming!
If we do not understand the preparations for His coming "in the events", we are not prepared!
If we do not really understand His coming, how can we fully understand Him?
If we say, "it will all pan-out" we are implying "fate", ignoring God's detailed plan in the Bible and expressing paganism.
What we "do" and how we respond is a result of truth as we understand it.
Truth does not change....we do. We do not always understand correctly and therefore often hurt others and ourselves.
True Spiritual Warfare is Discerning Truth! If we "discern correctly" then what we "do" should be correct (it is always a choice). Spiritual Warfare is not "prayer intercession", "standing in the gap", nor the many other things we do, rather all of these things are a result of "our discerning" truth! The application of this to prophecy is... if we "discern", understand events correctly then we understand, know God better and "should do", making choices rightly.
It will not all "pan-out" it will "God-out" as it is Hi(s)or!
In Him,

Jerusalem, the Hand of God
Observations from Biblical Scriptures:
Two Altars -- One on Mt. Moriah, for the Jewish Temple; One on the Mt. of Olives, also for the Jewish Temple.
The use of the Altar on the Mt. of Olives gave access to the Temple on Mt. Moriah.
Without the Altar on the Mt. of Olives there was absolutely no ability to enter the Temple on Mount Moriah. Scriptures portray the Mt. of Olives splitting when the foot of Christ touches the Mountain, at His return. Reason: In order that there will not be two Altars when the Messiah is in Residence in the Temple, i e the sun when it rises each morning hits the Mt. of Olives first before the Temple Mount until the Messiah is in the Temple.
Psalms 19 starts with a "General Revelation" of God through creation.
In Judaism the Mt. of Olives is called the "Mountain of the Messiah" or the "Mountain of Light". This is because of the light of the sun first hitting the Mt. of Olives at sunrise. When the Messiah is in residence in the Temple then there is no need for a second Altar, which gives access to the Temple. The Messiah is the access!
Creation, Nature confirms, agrees and reveals, the stated plans of Biblical Scripture, Psalms 19 is an example. Judaism declares that when the Messiah is in residence, in the Temple, then the light of the sun cannot hit the Mt. of Olives first before shining on the Messiah. The Messiah will enter the Temple from the Mt. of Olives where He first touches with His foot, therefore the mountain is
called the "Mountain of the Messiah". After the Messiah leaves the Mt. of Olives, going West towards the Mount Moriah Temple, the Light from the Sun then has to shine first on the Temple site where He will be in Residence!
Ok! *****For all this to become an example in a restored, "Third Temple" the Mt. of Olives has to be restored to Jewish hands, under their control for the Temple use!
This then opens the revelation of the next, major event in the prophetical time table of God's plans, i e before there can be a reinstatement of the Temple the Mt. of Olives has to be available for the
Temple use! The "Left Hand" has to approach the "Right hand"! This event we are convinced, (will cause a change of control of the Mt. of Olives from Arab, "Palestinian", to Jewish) is ...Isaiah chapter 17.
Isaiah 17: The war depicted starts in the evening, verse 14, and is finished by morning. The war breaks the back of "Islam" in the Mid-East by destroying Damascus, i e "the Kingdom of Syria"; Jordan, i e "the cities of Aroer"; and the "Palestinian" Authority, i e the "Fortress from Ephraim". Also the "remnant of Syria" become the "glory of Israel". Israel will not only destroy whole cities but nations... therefore expanding the National borders of current day Israel 100 times plus.
The World will become extremely angered, verses 12 and 13.
This scene plus the coming Y2K will create what Christianity is not ready for..."mens hearts will fail for fear of what has come upon the world". If we wait until it all starts happening to decide it is true and do something about getting ready spiritually or otherwise....then will it be too late? A part of the outcome we expect will be the causing of the immigration of the Jewish people from ALL countries of the world including America and all the "safe" places. Those "safe places" will not any longer be safe! We believe the coming "Great Immigration" to Israel will also include a great number of "those called by His name", Isaiah 43:7.
Food for thought.....
It all could easily start this coming summer in 1999?
Isaiah 17 before Y2K and Ezekiel 38 after?
IF this is all true then there is very little time in which to warn the Body of Messiah! Preparations to survive a Y2K situation will NOT be enough!

(Letter #12, March 1999)
Greetings to all, from Jerusalem!
We are excited that this letter is going out to many countries! Thank you to each one of you that have sent your encouragement and asking if the letters can be passed on to others. Yes, they can be shared! We have also received back copies of how others are incorporating the material, using it in Bible Studies, etc. The material is being shared in Universities, etc. This is our prayer, "that God's Spirit will lead us into all Truth".
The Altar on the Top of the Mount of Olives (where the Red Heifer was offered for the Temple) was, according to Jewish History, a DEPRESSED Altar or a "Hole in the Ground"! The "depressed Altar" complimented the "raised Altar" of Mount Moriah. Spiritually and physically the two worked as one! It took both, for the Temple to function! Christ (Messiah) is the fulfilling of both Altars... they will come together as one when He is in the Temple, ruling as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
It is recorded that the Altar, as a "hole", was approximately 9 to 12 feet deep and 12 to 15 feet across (or each side). Remember that Ezekiel 43:21 states that this Altar "the Appointed Place", is part of the Temple! All ash from cremated Sin offerings on Mount Moriah were taken there. The bodies of the Bullocks were cremated there. A very important facet , which usually is not realized, is almost every evening a wind will begin to blow in Jerusalem from the West towards the East! Living here we were amazed when this "dawned" on us! The majority of ash in the Miphkad Altar would have then been blown to the East, away from the Temple site, away from God! Your sin (transgressions) will be removed as far as the East is from the West, which would also point to the fact that the crucifixion of Christ occurred on the Mount of Olives. Psalms103:12, "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us". The EAST and the WEST! Psalms 48:1 and 2, "Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Tsion, on the sides of the north, the city of thegreat King". The sides of the north are EAST and WEST! The ash was blown EAST towards and into the Dead Sea from the "hole in the ground"! Not only was all sin represented at the Miphkad Altar but it was depressed, a hole in the ground! It could not have been any worse, separated from God. But that representation of total sin was mixed with water to become the Water of Purification, Numbers 19:9. How much more?
Hebrews 9:13, "For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctified to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself...". The Temple system is designed to reveal God's plan of redemption! Ezekiel 43:10, "Thou son of man, show reveal the Temple to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their inequities: and let them measure (understand) the pattern". This is "why" there will be a seven year period of time called Daniel's Seventieth Week in which the Temple shall be revived! How do we know this seven years has not started and is yet to come? The seven years is begun by a treaty, not for peace, but for allowing the Temple system to function, Daniel 9:27. The "oblation" is the sacrifice system of the Temple. Christ told his disciples that it had not yet occurred in Matthew 24:14 and 15. The context is the "end of the World" and "therefore when you see the abomination". It has not yet occurred or started! How can we begin to understand the timings. Here is the home work...five chapters...Matthew 24; Mark 13; Luke 21; II Thessalonians and Revelation 13. Read each chapter at least three times and then compare three verses from each. It will be found that the five chapters are talking about the same issues but from differing angles, relating to Jerusalem.
Major trauma will occur, world-wide, when a Jewish Temple system, with the ten manifestations of God, begin to function. Many will ask, "why"?
What are those manifestations, functions and timings? ...We can look at them closer in the next letter In Him,

Passover/Easter
(Letter # 13, April 2, 1999)
Greetings from Jerusalem!
First, a comment on the last letter concerning the "Depressed Altar" (i.e. the "Hole in the Ground" on the top of the Mt. of Olives too which all Ash from the Sin cremations of the Temple, on Mount Moriah, were taken and also where the "Bullocks" (whose blood was used in the Temple) were cremated. Very close friends, Marilyn and Dale Wesson made the comment: "Then, . as the wind would blow each evening from the West, away from God, towards the EAST then it would create a vacuum as it blew over the Depressed (Miphkad) Altar! The vacuum would literally pull all Ash out of the hole, . even the corner remnants! NO vestige, NO remnant, No spec of Ash would be left representing sin! God literally would remove the symbol
of sin (the Ash) as far as the East is from the West!" Thank you Dale and Marilyn! This is exactly the point! The sin was totally GONE, by God's Hand! But there is more. When the Red Heifer was offered with Hysup, etc, at the same site, it was then offered with THAT DAY'S Ash from the Temple before the wind began to blow. Then the Ashes of the Red Heifer were gathered up to be used as the access back into the Temple, daily, in the "Water Washing" after the "Blood Sacrifice"! The Red Heifer was symbolic of ALL sin (flesh)! (The Hysip and other ingrediants represented the Spiritual.)
Blood and Water became the authority for access to the two Holy areas of the Temple and presence of God! On the Tree/Cross was shed for you and me the Blood and the Water! To fulfill the Law the event occurred at the site of the Miphkad Altar on the top of the Mount of Olives as stated in Hebrews 13: 10,11 and 12!
Now we have set the scene for a most important facet! In Numbers 2: 3 it is stated that the Tribe of Judah was to camp and pitch their standard, on the East Side (of the Tabernacle/Temple site) toward the rising of the Sun. A transliteration of Judah (including root meanings) would mean, "with hands lifted up praising or celebrating"! Picture this in your mind and Spirit .anything happening on the Mount of Olives and then going towards the Temple Mount would be moving "from Praise", Judah, towards the Temple! Anything happening on the Temple Mount and moving towards the Mount of Olives (Judah) would be moving "towards Praise"! From Praise to Praise.
Left Hand . Right Hand, what happens on the Mount of Olives is what opens the Temple and presence of God for mankind! Interesting relationship with the first chapter of Ephesians!
So why do we believe that the "Ten Manifestations of God" will again occur on the Temple Mount and what are they? Paul, in Acts 15 verses 16 and 17, quoted Amos 9 verses 11 and 12. Simply put."I will build again the ruins there of and I will set it up .I will build it again as in the days of old". Literally this would then mean, . as it was built and functioned in the days of old so shall it again be built and function! The Tabernacle in the Wilderness and the First Temple in Jerusalem had, as a part of its East-West, Right Hand-Left Hand functioning, TEN + Manifestations of God.
I take it then literally, that these ten will be reinstated with a coming "third Temple" era (which has three parts). This then agrees with Psalms 102:16, which states "When the Lord shall build up Tsion, He shall appear in His glory." We think this will bring trauma to the majority of the world and Christianity because they do not expect it to happen. We believe the beginning of this is depicted in Ezekiel 39 verse 22 before the seven years of Daniel's Seventieth Week!
What are the "Ten"? 1) A Cloud Pillar by day and 2) a Pillar of Fire by night over the Holy of Holies. 3) No natural wind or breeze on the Temple Mount, 4) nor any flies. 5) The Vail would move in and out in a
breathing action both seeable and hearable, called the Rauch Ha Chadesh, which we translate, the Holy Spirit. (This would be a major reason why the Children of Israel were commanded to go to Jerusalem, the Temple site, three times a year as at those times the doors and gates were left open making the Breathing Vail seeable!) 6) The Urim and the Thumim reflecting onto the Menorah and God spelling out what He wanted to speak. (What do you think those messages will be to reveal the Messiah in the future?) 7) The
Glory between the Angels wings on the Ark of the Covenant (the Ark was found in 1967 by Orthodox Jews, with NO gentiles involved!) 8) Aaron's Rod that budded, which was kept with the Ark of the Covenant and 9) the Pot of Manna, which also was with the Ark of the Covenant. (Both of these, 8 and 9 then proved that the Priest had been in the presence of God AND that the messages were from God!) 10) A fire would on occasion come down from "Heaven" and consume offerings. All of these, #1-10 happened in the past, many recorded in the Bible, and we expect them to happen again, which is why many Gentiles will say to a Jewish person, "We perceive that God is with you, can we go to the Temple Mount to worship with you?"
We have interesting days ahead, whether we are in agreement or not over these issues but it is food for thought! May the Lord Bless!
In His Love,

(Letter 14)
2 April 1999
Greetings from Jerusalem!
First an apology! We have those who ask, "why cannot you do a letter every week?"
The apology is because we just do not have time! We are very grateful to each of you that have responded with the encouragement that the e-letters are being used in Bible studies and etc. You bless us, as we believe that the material will help explain the "why" for events that are soon to happen in the months ahead. We all may not want to hear that war in the Middle East is not too far down the road. When it happens the boundaries of Israel will dramatically grow but a most important piece of information will be that the Mount of Olives will come under full Jewish control. This is significant, as Christ will return to Israel, not a "Palestinian State". So..
The Geology of the "Old City" of Jerusalem literally forms a left hand, see letter #1 and Isaiah 49:16!
When the importance of this really strikes home then the following has a major impact on the realization for the timing of the outpouring of God's Holy Spirit for the "end of days".
Let's set the scene...
In the last letter we spoke of "from praise to praise". An example is then FROM the "Red Heifer" TO the Messiah!
The offering of the Red Heifer was the highest form of a shadow in the Tanack (Old Testament) as a revelation of the Messiah (Christ). The offering required a specific site. The top of the hill, which in Hebrew is called Golgotha! The heifer was, according to Jewish writings, about 3 ½ years of age, blood red, virgin, never having had a "yoke", and with no blemishes which included no more than 2 or three hairs on its whole body that were other than red. A perfect offering according to the Law! Who fulfilled the Law?
The location did not change in relationship to either the Tabernacle in the Wilderness or the Temple in Jerusalem. Could it then change with the Messiah? Is this why the "Holy Spirit in the form of the Shekinah Glory" is recorded to have left the Temple and resided on the Mount of Olives for a period of time but is prophetically destined to return via the Mount of Olives as will Christ?
We can learn something from the past Biblical, historical offerings of the Red Heifer which will keep us from being deceived today! Each acceptable offered Red Heifer was always offered to the EAST of the
Tabernacle or Temple. When in Jerusalem this was always on the top of the Mount of Olives. Because the site has been rendered "unclean" by the centuries of non-Jewish control, a new heifer cannot be offered unless the site is "purified" first. The only acceptable purification would be "ashes from the last offered heifer", which occurred just before the destruction of the Temple in AD 70. When those ashes are available to Israel then there is no need to offer a new Red Heifer! Historically, enough ashes were hidden to last approximately 400 years! Finding those ashes renders a new offering unnecessary! Finding those ashes will begin to reveal all that we have been talking about and more to Israel to make known the Identity of the Messiah!
The Red Heifer was to be offered before the Face of God! Would not also the fulfillment?
Numbers 19:3 states that the heifer was to be "slain before his face". Because of the English way of translation a very important facet is missed.
Carefully go through the book of Leviticus. Underline every time the statement is made "before the Lord". It literally means "before his face" in relationship to the Tabernacle or Temple. All sin offerings were made
"before his face"! The same term is used in Numbers 19:3 but we always thought it meant in front of the Priest when actually in Hebrew idiom it means before the Face of God! The "Ashes of the Red Heifer" as a complete shadow of Sin/sin then mixed with water became "Living Water" to be used as the only Tanack, Old Testament, access into the presence of God, Lev. chapter 16, "before his face"! Again, what has Christ done for us "before His face"?
Is this "why" Scriptures speak of when God's Spirit works within a person then out will flow "Rivers of Living Water"? Is it then of importance that when the State of Israel begins to re-establish a Temple system, the system will dramatically begin to reveal the Messiah and begin an outpouring of the Ru'ah Ha Kodesh, His Holy Spirit, His Breathing, His Glory! Is this a major reason why a man generated red heifer will not be
acceptable, as the work belongs to God, not man? "Ashes of Old" will point to God's Glory not mans.
A related item in Judaism is also recorded that as far back as the 11th Century a known corner stone existed for the Temple on the Temple mount of Mount Moriah. A new corner stone is not needed. We saw the research in 1989, here in Jerusalem defining the very stone, shown to us by those involved in the research. Again man is not needed to erect a new corner stone as God has already provided! All that is needed is the finding of the Ashes of the Red Heifer. And if we understand correctly from the Bible and history there are two portions available to be found! We think in the not too far distant future, before Daniel's 70th week!
In His Love,

THE FUTURE OF JERUSALEM
What Israel intends to do about Jerusalem remains to be seen. For 2000 years the Jewish people have prayed every day of their existence, to return to Jerusalem. There is no precedent for such a bond between a people and a city in all the annals of mankind.
Since its founding by King David 3,000 years ago, Jerusalem has NEVER been a capital of any other people. Mentioned close to 700 times in the Bible, and known also as Zion, it is the heart of Zionism. It is the apotheosis of the dream of return, the quintessence of the vision of rebirth which has kept the Jewish nation alive since the destruction of the Temple. Without Jerusalem there can be no Israel. There can be no fulfillment of the Zionist dream of ingathering.
As Ben-Gurion said, "The city of Jerusalem is not only a physical capital. It is the heart of the Jewish people." To deny Jerusalem's centrality in Jewish life and its role as the Jewish capital is to deny Jews their most fundamental rights as a nation.
Yet, the government of Israel, with just enough pressuring, will be prepared to do what the governments of the world want it to do.......relinquish half of Jerusalem, including the Old City and most of the holy places, and to who? To a PLO/HAMAS state now taking shape at its side.
On the contrary, of course, this is not what the government says it will do. It adamantly insists that Jerusalem will remain undivided under Israeli sovereignty as the eternal capital of Israel.
But its deeds contradict its words. More and more, it seems that Israel is on the way of ceding half of Jerusalem to a dictatorship. This will be the first time in history that a free democracy voluntarily invites the establishment of a police state in the very heart of its most precious city on the hill.
The Palestinian Arabs have learned from Zionist history that the most effective way to achieve political goals is to establish "facts on ground," preferably in low-profile increments. One application has already unfolded: Arab squatters have settled illegally near Israeli villages. Their intention is clear...to establish an irreversible Arab majority, imitating the Zionist pioneers who believed that every cultivated acre and every new settlement helped reinforce national claim to the land.
Another issue is the establishment of Orient House, which the government has chosen to ignore. Orient House, located in Jerusalem, is used by the PLO as the compound of its local headquarters.
Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin asserted that continued political activity in Orient House would spell the end of Oslo. The Palestinians not only ignored this threat....they opened 14 other offices which serve as government agencies under the direct control of the PA.
Furthermore, they have revived the Arab municipal council, dispersed in 1967. This move, clearly illegal, may have few practical applications, but it stressed the Palestinian disregard for the Oslo and Cairo agreements, which preclude changes in the political status quo in Jerusalem. When will prime
Minister Netanyahu address this issue?
Orient House has raised itself to international status by receiving local guests there, and by signing international agreements, including the agreement for a US grant for the autonomous areas. The PLO has made it function as the political and diplomatic "capital" of the territories.
It has also given Orient House the aura of an armed-forces headquarters, by decorating it with military paraphernalia and posting its own security men around the building. When the newly recruited Palestine Police officers arrived in town, the PLO used the place for a military reception for them. With assiduity and persistence, the PLO is developing a bureaucratic, political infrastructure intended to present the world with a de facto Palestinian capital in Jerusalem, just in time for the "final status" talks.
Letting the PA maintain and enlarge its foothold in the city can only ensure Israel's defeat. Efforts to dislodge an even more entrenched Orient House at a later date will trigger worldwide protest and insurmountable resistance. Orient House will not only continue to function with impunity; it's activities will become more ostentatious than ever.
All sorts of suggestions regarding Jerusalem have been put forth...from Beilin's division of the city into boroughs, which will be municipally connected but under different sovereignties, to a single capital for two nations and three religions.
These suggestions have the commonality of detachment from reality. A city can work as two separate entities, as Jerusalem and Berlin did. But it cannot belong to two sovereignties and remain united. Jerusalem is not like an American town which can sit astride a state border.
A city with two totally different systems of government, different sets of laws and law enforcement apparatuses would find it difficult to function even if the two sovereignties were democratic. To suppose that it could be a unified city and serve both a democratic government and a police state is ludicrous!!!....<a nascent Palestinian police state prone to aggression, and both irredentist and revanchist.>
The most beleaguering argument used by advocates of dividing Jerusalem is that it is essential to achieving peace. Once this assumption is allowed to dictate Israel's moves, Israel becomes a state of extortion, taken hostage by her own ideologies.
In Johannesburg, Arafat relayed, Middle East peace would not be achieved without the return of Israeli-occupied Jerusalem to Palestine and its people, as he addressed the South African parliament Wednesday afternoon.
"Peace will not be achieved without Jerusalem; peace will not prevail, and security and stability will not be achieved without the return of Jerusalem to its homeland and owners," Arafat said in his speech delivered in Arabic.
His address was televised live on South African national television, as reported by the Xinhua news agency. Arafat said Jerusalem was the capital of Palestine and would not be the subject of bargaining or concessions. He denounced the Netanyahu government for stalling the peace process and urged the international community to take a tougher approach against the Israeli government.
This disingenuous, patronizing, and contemptuous attitude of Arafat's should wake and shake the Israeli government once and for all. But much to my chagrin, the government is accepting the encroachment of Palestinian sovereignty in Jerusalem with perfect equanimity.
Israel is not a pariah state, nor does it depend on the whims of others for its survival. Israel's 50th Independence Day was three months ago, but it seems the meaning of independence has escaped some government ministers, as well as the Prime Minister himself.
As the only democracy in the Middle East, it deserves the respect that other countries, including some of the worst tyrannical dictatorships, take for granted. It is the right of any sovereign state to choose its own capital. The issue of Israel's capital is an Israeli issue, and only an Israeli issue. There will be no peace through appeasement.
