Dr. William McDonald received a B.A. in Old
Testament (1987), a Master of Divinity (1991), and
a Master of Arts in Biblical Literature (1992)
from Oral Roberts University. Dr. McDonald went on
to pursue both a Master of Arts in Hebrew Studies
(1999), and a Ph.D. in Hebrew Studies (2002) from
the University of Texas at Austin.
Before becoming an adjunct Assistant Professor of
Old Testament in the Graduate School of Theology
and Missions at Oral Roberts University, Dr.
McDonald had over fifteen years of teaching and
educational ministry experience. He taught and
hosted a television outreach program called,
Truth, in Peoria, IL. (1983-1985), and hosted a
program called, The Quest, in Austin, TX
(1997-1998). In 2002, McDonald hosted two
television programs produced by N.L.M. Foundation
for Depression and Anxiety called, “Over Coming
Depression, Anxiety and Worry” and “Face To
Face”, a study into God’s Word. McDonald was a
member of the Board of Directors as the National
Director for Race Relations in The American Forum
for Jewish-Christian Cooperation, from 1987-1994.
McDonald has written a number of articles
published by Yavo Digest, Austin, TX and by Not
Forsaking the Assembling (N.F.T.A.). He also wrote
the book entitled, You Are Free To Worry No More,
published by New Life Ministries, Inc. in Austin,
TX, and HaKesher, Inc. in Tulsa, OK, in 1999. His
dissertation was entitled, A Hebrew Text in Greek
Dress: A Comparison and Contrast Between Jewish
and Hellenistic Thought, which was published in
Fall 2002.
