Dr. Gary
Collett Dr. Collett and his wife, Deborah, come to the USA once every three years to lecture and share the amazing truths that he has found while living in Israel. His ministry, Jerusalem Ministries International, focuses on *Teaching/Education; *Archeological Excavations, and *Teaching Judeo/Christian truths. "The Cultural Jewish roots of Chrsitianity, so evident in the Bible, are grossly misunderstood by too many believers. By not grasping the deeper meaning of the Jewish heritage and its intimate relationship with the land of Israel, it is easy to overlook some of the underlying truths revealed to us. Accordingly, JMI is committeed to help bridge this widening gap of misunderstanding by: *Focusing on the role of the
Holy Land (Jerusalem in particular) in God's Plan; One of the major quests, relative to the porphesied rebuilding of the new temple, is the recovery of the basic element for the ritual of Purification. In Numbers 19, Jehovah declared that ashes from the sacrifice of the unblemished red heifer would be the symbolic ingredient to be mixed in these purifying waters. Verses 10 and 21 proclaim that this process is to be unending (forever," "perpetual"). The remaining unused ashes were to be kept in a "kalal" or bucket. Tradition has it that when the Romans destroyed the Temple in 70 AD, the ashes were hidden to avoid their discovery and destruction. In March of 1952, a copper scroll was found in the north cave of Qumra. This important archaeological discovery describes many Temple artifacts including the Ashes of the Red Heifer. It indicates that the Kalal is hidden in a cave near the Wadi Kipah which we know today as Qumran. What Next...? The ostraca (archaeological artifacts) found during the last dig, provided a valuable clue regarding the Qumran community, as reported in Randall Price's book "The Stones Cry Out." The next phase is awaited with great expectation. Utilizing the results of special geophysical diagnostic techniques (Ground Penetrating Radar, Moelcular Frequency Analysis, etc..) we hope to uncover the existence of a chamber that will likely contain the artifacts described in the copper scroll mentioned. As soon as approval is granted by the Department of Antiquities, a call will go out for volunteers. In God's good timing, we know that all is to be provided, but we pray that many will be inspired to assist in the dig or help in the major fund-raising effort anticipated. We invite you to attend this conference and meet Dr. Collett. A question and answer period will be made available at the conclusion of the conference. |
