Ann Thrasher

Ann Thrasher became a Christian in 1975. Having lived and studied as a Jewish woman, and raising four children in a Jewish home, Ann had a deep and personal knowledge of the Hebrew Scripture and the Promised Land, Israel. She came to believe that Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah prophesied in Holy Scripture. In a Sunday women’s study group Ann was asked to explain the celebration of Passover in a Jewish home. Her background allowed her to help her church celebrate Passover as it is currently observed throughout the world today. However, this event brought Ann to ask not only how Passover fits into a modern Christian’s life, but also how was Passover celebrated in the first century by Jesus and His followers. This single event revealed the Lord’s calling in Ann’s life.

Today it is common to see bracelets to bumper stickers asking "WWJD", meaning, "what would Jesus do?" Ann leads you in a search for very real and tangible answers to that question, or perhaps more accurately, "What DID Jesus do?" The events of Jesus’ life took place in a specific area of the world at a specific point in time in a specific cultural setting. The first century was certainly one of the most pivotal times in human history, and it is imperative to understand the cultural, political, geographic, and religious environment that surrounded Jesus’ life and ministry.

One of her favorite teaching revolves around the Biblical dinner in a passover setting. This brings the sights, sounds, fragrances, and flavors of the first century Passover meal to life. The symbols of the meal and its place in the life of our Lord are brought to life in multiple dimensions. The covenant confirmed by this meal is examined and the foreshadowing of the life and death of our Passover Lamb, Jesus, is experienced by all. You experience the Last Supper as if you were present at the Last Supper.

At this conference Ann will be sharing about the Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot. There will be a real family sukkah (tabernacle) present in the conference center and she will teach of Sukkot in the time of Jesus and today. A wonderful family experience will be shared by all!

For the past twenty years Ann has studied and taught on the customs, cultures, languages and life in first century Israel and the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith. Ann has made over a dozen study missions to Israel. She has been a student, leader, guide, and coordinator of several educational projects in the Holy Land. Ann works with Christians and Jews both in the U.S. and abroad to bring to light the common heritage both religions share and open doors to understanding the true nature of God’s love. Her teachings of Bible history, customs and geography will give a deeper foundation for Believers as new perspectives enrich their Bible study.

Ann continues to study and teach in churches and fellowship groups in North America and Israel. With her children grown, she has begun to spend more time in active ministry. Her unique perspective will gives a fresh look at the celebration of the ancient feasts and festivals in modern times. Her presentations are more than just an academic look into Biblical promises. Ann’s is a living, evolving, personal testimony of God’s faithfulness and steadfast provision in every aspect of life.
