Unfortunately, today any group can obtain a certificate of license/ordination for ministry from a local bookstore. Over the years, this practice of licensing without restrictions or accountability has caused legitimate religious organizations to look with suspicion at the graduate with this type of certificate. To remedy this situation, the Board of Arkansas Institute verifies that each graduate is not a novice and has the prescribed years of study to adequately perform the educational task. Each graduate will be awarded a Declaration of License, which is to be renewed annually by the student filing for renewal each January 1st. This procedure is done to assure both this institution and the one hiring the graduate that the individual is currently not living out of biblical bounds in matters of doctrine, character or morals. The cost for reviewing the yearly application, maintaining the license, and providing a written confirmation to inquiring agencies is $15 per year.
Arkansas Institute will ordain graduates who are active in ministry and have been Licensed by AIHLS. The graduate must be actively working either part time or full time in a credible organization or ministry. The graduate must individually make application for ordination. There will be a one time ordination fee of $15 and a renewal fee each year of $15.
